The City of Johnsonville continues to makes improvements to the City Park located on South Hampton Avenue.  The most recent improvement is a new shelter located behind the Community Building adjacent to the playground.  The shelter will house a shuffleboard court and benches to be used by groups renting the community building.

 Additional lighting and security cameras have been added to the park as well.  The volleyball and basketball courts now have lighting along with the parking lot after dark.  A new City Park sign was added this summer also.

 The City will be adding several new amenities in the coming weeks.  The playground swings are being replaced and a new “ten spin” merry-go-round is being installed.  Future improvements will include additional signage and grills near the picnic shelters.
